The Gift of Eternal Life
Would You Like to Go to Heaven?
More than anything we must be marked by where we are going rather than where we are.
The Bible tells us that God loves us and wants each of us to have lives that are full of joy, and purpose. His Son Jesus came to share this message of hope; not to condemn the world but save it (John 3:17), that we may have life more abundantly than we thought possible (John 10:10).
How Do We Get This Abundant Life?
What’s holding you back?
God gave us freedom of choice, because He loves us. But when we think our way is better than God’s, we create a gap between us and God. This gap is called sin.
Our sin makes us guilty before Him, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Through the ages, people have tried to bridge this gap with good works, religion, philosophy, and morality. Yet, “there is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death” (Proverbs 14:12). Because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). The good news: There is a way to bridge the gap-Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Jesus took our penalty upon Himself, and God accepted His death on the cross as payment for our sins.
Three days later Jesus conquered death, rising from the grave. God sacrificed His Son to restore our relationship with Him, so Jesus is now the mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5), always living to intercede for us (Hebrews 7:25). What is your response? You can believe and look to Jesus, Who died for you on the cross; or you can continue going on as you are. To be lost, you don’t have to do anything, just keep on living your life without the Lord and you will perish. But, if you believe in the One who died for your sins, then the gift of eternal life is yours, for “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
If You Would Like to Receive Jesus Christ Right Now Pray This Simple Prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins and experience a life of joy and peace. I invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior and Lord of my life. In Jesus’ Name, amen!
What Now?
If you prayed that prayer, you are a Christian. You have been forgiven and He has come in to your life. You have made the most critical decision of your life, choosing to follow Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You are Saved! If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
